Hockey Victoria recognises outstanding contributions to the sport

Hockey Victoria announced three new Life Members and one new Award of Merit recipients at last Friday’s Annual Awards Night. In addition to this, HV has been recognising Officials within the Victorian Hockey Community who have had continual commitment, contribution, and service to the sport of significant periods of time.

After receiving an unprecedented level of interest for the roles, the HV Board’s Nominations Committee have worked through a detailed selection process over the last two months to determine three outstanding new Directors.

Footscray lauded for their Hookin2Hockey Program

FHC kicked off the year with a bang, running three "come and try" sessions that attracted over 150 participants giving hockey a go for the first time. They have since successfully retained all 50+ new Hookin2Hockey (H2H) participants, who have seamlessly transitioned into their winter programs and introduced a mammoth 95 new Hookin2Hockey participants across the year.
