HV unveils 2026 key dates

Hockey Victoria is delighted to release some key dates and further information relating to our Competitions, Events and Special Rounds for 2026.  

Stand Out Cup 

Date: Sunday, 22^nd February 2026 

Location: Essendon Hockey Centre 

Team entry information for this Event will be released prior to the end of this year.  

Junior Country Championships 

Dates: Saturday 16^th & Sunday 17^th May 2026

Locations: 

• Under 14 Boys & Girls - Essendon Hockey Centre  

• Under 16 Boys & Girls - Greensborough Hockey Centre 

• Under 18 Boys & Girls - State Netball Hockey Centre 

Senior Country Championships  

With the support of the City of Greater Bendigo and Hockey Central Victoria, we are excited be continue the 2026 Senior Country Championships up in regional Victoria.  

Dates: Saturday 6^th to Monday 8^th June 2026 

Location: Bendigo Hockey Centre – all divisions 

Junior State Championships 

The 2026 Junior State Championships will be hosted in metropolitan Melbourne and be conducted as follows: 

Under 12 Boys & Girls Hockey5s 

• Wednesday, 1^st & Thursday, 2^nd July 2026 at Footscray Hockey Centre 

Under 14 & Under 16 Boys & Girls  

• Friday, 3^rd July – Sunday, 5^th July 2026 at State Netball Hockey Centre & Footscray Hockey Centre (teams will play across both venues) 

Under 18 Boys & Girls 

• TBC of full confirmation – Saturday, 19^th to Monday, 21^st September 2026 at State Netball Hockey Centre 

JSC Nominations & Trials 

Player Nominations for the 2026 Junior State Championships will open in January 2026. The Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 trails are likely to be held between Sunday, 12^th April and Sunday, 19^th April 2026. Zone Coordinators will select the desired dates/times within this timeframe.

Under 18 trials are to be held on Sunday, 12^th July 2026 (please note that a small number of Zones may conduct their Under 18 trials in April to align with the trials for all other age groups. 

Women & Girls Breakfast 

Date: Friday, 8^th May 2026

Location: To be confirmed 

Further information will be released in the new year about pricing and ticket/table sales.  

Men’s Health Lunch  

Date: to be confirmed 

Location: to be confirmed 

Further information will be released in the new year about this Event.  

Hockey Victoria Awards Night 

The 2026 HV Awards Night will again be held following the conclusion of the 2026 Winter Competition Finals Series.  

Date: Friday, 18^th September 2026

Location: To be confirmed 

Special Rounds 

The dates of the special rounds for 2026 will be as follows: 

• Women & Girls Round: Monday, 4^th May – Monday, 11^th May 2026

• Pride Round: Monday, 15^th June – Sunday, 21 June 2026

• Indigenous Round: Monday, 13^th July – Sunday, 26^th July 2026 

• Men’s Health Round: Monday, 10^th August – Sunday, 16^th August 2026

As was the case in 2025, if you are not fixtured to play a home match across the above dates, but still wish to celebrate them you are more than welcome to do so in the week before or after the one listed above.  

There will be further information released in Hock-e-Comms later this year in relation to purchasing special round medals for 2026.  

HC Melbourne Home Matches 

The 2026 Hockey One fixture is yet to be finalised. Once it is, further information will be distributed relating to the dates of the HC Melbourne home matches, as well as ticketing and membership information. We anticipate that it will run from approximately Friday 9^th October through to Sunday 29^th November.
