HC Melbourne was established in early 2019 and is the only Victorian elite Men’s and Women’s hockey team in the Hockey One league. The HC Melbourne Men’s & Women’s teams compete annually in the Hockey One League, along with six other franchises. Our teams are made up of the brightest hockey talent in Victoria, with numerous former, current and aspiring national representatives.
A number of the HC Melbourne players have represented the country at the Olympics, World Cup, Commonwealth Games and Junior World Cup. The Hockey One League is unique in that every fixture sees the men and women playing consecutively. It truly is a league that can boast about having equal conditions, exposure and opportunities for the Men’s & Women’s teams.
In 2024, the HC Melbourne Men won the Hockey One League for the first time since its inception in 2019. In 2025, our Men went on to win back-to-back championships whilst our Women won the silver medal after a fantastic season which saw them return to the finals.

In 2025, HC Melbourne Men claimed their secondHockey One titlegoing Back-to-Back, becoming the first team to win the League at a Home FInals Series.
