The 2026 Junior State Championships player and coach nominations are now open!
In 2026, the Junior State Championships will be held at the State Netball Hockey Centre Parkville & Footscray Hockey Centre. See below for age group locations & dates:

Under 12 Boys & Girls Hockey5s - Wednesday, 1st & Thursday, 2nd July 2026 at Footscray Hockey Centre

Under 14 & Under 16 Boys & Girls - Friday, 3rd July – Sunday, 5th July 2026 at State Netball Hockey Centre & Footscray Hockey Centre (teams will play across both venues)

Under 18 Boys & Girls - Saturday, 19th to Monday, 21st September 2026 at State Netball Hockey Centre
Player Nominations
All Zone player nominations are now open, but it should be noted that you must have your relevant 2026 Hockey Victoria registration before you can submit a nomination. Please click here to complete your Hockey Victoria registration before nominations for your Zone team.
The deadlines for all Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 player nominations will vary based on your respective trial dates. Please check out your respective Zone link to confirm your trial date and deadlines.
Most trials will occur between Sunday, 12th April and Sunday, 19th April 2026, unless communicated earlier. These changes in 2026 enable greater flexibility for Zone Coordinators to better prepare, administer, and run trials for their respective Zones.
Zone Coordinators may be confirming bookings and updating details at this time. These details will be updated in due course once confirmed and locked in. Once finalised, all players that have nominated will be contacted with the details.
U18 trials will occur in July post the U12 – U16 tournament, unless specified otherwise. We encourage all U18 players to nominate as early as possible as there will be a brief closing of nominations the week of the U12 – U16 trials to ensure trials occur and team announcements are made.
Before you complete a nomination, please ensure that you read through all the information when you follow the link. There are a number of important things for you to be aware of such as the years you must be born in to nominate, costs, trial details etc.
Please be aware of information regarding automatic entry if you are a State or Development Outdoor Player. Further details are shared below regarding automatic entry and requirements about nominating/attending Zone trials.

Automatic Selection Information for State Team Players
Please take note of the automatic entry information for state team players.
Where a player is entitled to automatic selection into their Zone team and they wish to participate, they MUST still nominate for their Zone team but will not be required to attend the trial.

All Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 Coaching nominations must be submitted by Monday, 30 March 2026.
All Under 18 Coaching nominations must be submitted by Monday, 29 June 2026.
All successful candidates will be notified within a fortnight of the above closing dates.
It should be noted that you must have your relevant 2026 Hockey Victoria registration before you will be able to nominate to coach a JSC team.
