Throughout 2025, Hockey Victoria (HV) havehighlighted and recognised longstanding officials with the Hockey Community for their continual commitment, contribution, and service to our sport.To be recognised, these Umpires and Technical Officials must have consistent service for onwards of 10, 15 and 20 year and be appointed to HV Competitions or Events within the previous calendar year.
Our sport would not run on a weekly basis without our officials. Often underappreciate, we cannot thank our officials enough for the passion, support, and work they put in to help ensure participants play the game they love.
As HV embark down this recognition path, we look to continue this year on year to capture and acknowledgeofficials as important members of Hockey within Victoria.

Once complete, HV will assess each survey submission to analyse if an official is in line for recognition for an Officials Service Lapel Pin. Through various stages of 2026, HV will invite recipients in line for recognition to various HV related events to be awarded in front of peers and the HV Community.
When completing the survey, we encourage officials to include as much information as possible (i.e. years, dates, events, etc.). HV will create Officials resumé’s for each Official as they complete a survey. This will aid in future assessment when Officials continue to be appointed through the years.
