2024 Junior Country Championships Permit Applications

Should an Association require additional players for their team from outside their Association, there will be a new procedure in place to get approval to do this in 2024.

This is being implemented as there has been a gradual increase in the number players participating in the JCC that have no legitimate connection to a Regional Association. They are being recruited to bolster the strength of teams, which is not in the spirit of this Event and is providing an unfair advantage in some instances.

It will still be possible to have metropolitan players to support teams under very limited circumstance, whereby they cannot be filled with Regional Players. But a permit must be sought to do this and there are some parameters outlined below. It is the strong preference of Hockey Victoria that where additional players are required for a team, they are Regional players.

Applications close 9.00am Monday 6th May, with no late applications accepted.
