Dear Affiliates,

The National Hockey Insurance Program, is an initiative between Hockey Australia, all of the State & Territory Hockey Associations and JLT Sport. The National Hockey Insurance Program is designed to capitalise on the benefits of group purchasing of insurance for clubs and members and streamline the process of insurance purchasing for clubs and their members.


The purpose of this communication is to provide all Hockey Victoria (HV) Affiliates with a comprehensive guide to the Hockey Victoria Insurance Program which will operate from 31st March 2016 to 31st December 2016. Please note this policy period is for a period of 9 months. From 1st January 2017 the insurance period will be on an annual basis.


I would strongly recommend that you take the time to thoroughly review this communication and forward it to your club executive for their information and action as required.


All of the details contained in this information guide will be replicated on the HV website and during the year you can steer your members to the Insurance section under the ‘Competitions & Events’ tab to obtain all of the important information in relation to the National Hockey Insurance Program. Further to the information on the HV website, the JLT website contains comprehensive policy information and vital documents including:

  • Certificate of Currencies
  • Policy Schedules for all products
  • Program Summaries and
  • Claim information and forms

The purchasing and claims procedures for the 2016 insurance period will be the same process as last year. All personal accident claims received by JLT Sport for Playing members, relating to the 2016 year will be checked against the STG HockeyNet system for verification that the claimant is a registered member who has paid the Hockey Victoria registration fee. (which includes the purchase of the Personal Accident Insurance)
