HC Melbourne’s 22 ready for Season 3 of Hockey One

Hockey Club Melbourne’s final 22 players are set to take on Season 3 of Hockey One which starts this October. With a host of new players and the depth of experience the new look squads are set to take a fresh approach into Round 1 against Tassie Tigers on Friday 6 October.

In its second year, the HC Melbourne Futures program promises to deliver more opportunities to more players in this cohort than ever before. Home and Away series of matches to be played at Parkville, Sydney, and Canberra, with opposition from across the country, it promises to be an action-packed program with many immersive experiences tied to our HC Melbourne Senior programs.

Last year was a tremendous success with over 350 community members attending the 2022 HV Awards Night. Due to the record-breaking attendance, HV have been required to seek a larger venue which has ultimately led to the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre (MCEC) playing host to the HV Awards Night this year.

2023 U13 State teams announced

Hockey Victoria is thrilled to announce its U13 squad that will represent Victoria at the Australian U13 Hockey Championships, September 23-29 in Newcastle. The teams will spend the next 6 weeks training twice weekly in preparation for what should be a thrilling week of junior hockey.

2023 Disciplinary Changes

Hockey Victoria are concerned by the number of recent reports regarding participant behaviour from players, officials, team staff and spectators displayed on and off the pitch up to this point in the season. To provide context, there have been 23 incident reports so far this season, compared to 14 throughout the entirety of the 2022 season.

Grassports Under 18 Junior State Champs teams announcement

Congratulations to all individuals that have been selected in their Zone team to participate in the 2023 Grassports Under 18 Junior State Championships! The Event is set to take place from Friday 22nd September – Sunday 24th September at Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville. It will see nine boys and nine girls teams battle it out for the title of State Champions.
