Vic Juniors Kicking Off Their Pathway Journey

Our Under 14 Academy programs kicked of at Parkville on Sunday with 200 eager and enthusiastic young hockey players excitedly lining up for their first taste of Academy in 2026.
For many of these athletes, this year's academy will be their very first entry into the pathway program, which for some could be an 8–10-year relationship with the Victorian High-Performance programs.
HV presents two streams of Academy:

Our HV Academy.

100 athletes selected primarily via the JSC and our academy camp in early July.

Our HV Emerging Talant Academy.

A 2nd tier program offered to 100 athletes who either just missed out on academy or are bottom age and aspiring for academy selection in 2027.
Sunday's action saw the kids engaging with skills-based activities with the coaches noting how positively the kids jumped into their work.
These athletes are all aspiring for Vic State Team selection and representing the BIG V at the 2026 Australian Championships in Canberra, this October.
We're looking forward to getting to know these kids and watching their pathway journey.
