Hockey Victoria is greatly saddened to hear of the recent passing of Charlie Martin late last week. Charlie was a HV Life Member inducted in 2019.
Hockey Victoria would like to express our deepest condolences to Charlie’s family and friends at this very sad time.
Charlie’s achievements in Hockey include, but are not limited to:
- Life Member HV (2019)
- Life Member Hockey Geelong (2008)
- Served on the Executive of Hockey Geelong
- Played for the former Winchelsea Hockey Club
- 15 years of delivering umpiring coaching and accessor for Hockey Victoria as a volunteer role.
- TD Victorian Women's Country Championship for 19 years
- HVOC & HV Junior Advisory Committee Member, assisted with JCC & SCC over a span of 18 years.
- Tournament Director for the Australia Masters Games in 2009 & 2013.
The funeral for Charlie Martin is on Monday 31 August at Quinn Funerals Chapel at Wesley Place, 15 Skene Street, Colac from 1.00pm. A private burial shall take place after.
