As the curtain closes on the 2025 One Active Hockey One season, HC Melbourne and Hockey Victoria would like to sincerely thankall of our team partners, players sponsors, members and our amazing supporters.

It truly has been a record-breaking season for HC Melbourne, claiming our second Men’s Hockey One title and going Back-to-Back. Whilst our Women won the silver medal after a fantastic season which saw them return to the finals. On top of those fantastic achievements, we have had numerous of other highlights this season:

HC Melbourne had the highest home match attendance in the League in 2025.

The finals series held in Melbourne was the highest attended since the inception of the Hockey One League.

We continued to be the most followed team in the Hockey One League across Instagram and Facebook.

Our broadcast numbers again increased in 2025, with record numbers watching the HC Melbourne teams play on 7Plus . Across the Home and Away Season and Finals HC Melbourne were again the most watched team in the League. The Men’s & Women’s Gold Medal Matches, which our teams competed in, were the two most watched matches in Hockey One League history.

We were incredibly fortunate to have the support of 6 team/match day partners, as well as 50 companies on board as player sponsors.

Nathan Ephraums took out the league Most Valuable Player.

7 players were selected in The Shootout (Hockey One League podcast) team of the year including: Hannah Cotter, Sammy Love, Olivia Downes, Bridget Laurance, Nathan Ephraums, Liam Henderson & Connar Otterbach.

Team Results

Standings at the end of regular season:

Women – 3rd place (3 wins, 1 shootout win, 2 losses) at the end of the regular season and then went on to be Silver Medallists.

Men – 3rd place (4 wins, 2 losses) at the end of the regular season and then went on to be Champions after winning the Grand Final

One Hockey Cup (combined Men’s & Women’s Results) – 2nd place
