Few people have experienced hockey from as many angles as Ged Grimwade. Having been involved in the sport for more than 25 years since first picking up a stick at age 11, Ged has dedicated countless hours to growing hockey through playing, coaching, umpiring, administration and volunteer leadership.
Across Essendon Hockey Club, Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club in Perth, and most prominently PEGS Hockey Club, Ged has held roles ranging from player and coach to umpire manager, selector, board member and mentor. His involvement has also extended to representative hockey with Victoria and Australia as an umpire, umpire coach, team manager, indoor coach and assistant outdoor coach.
Away from the pitch, Ged is a Sales Consultant with CRCYBER, where he helps clients navigate the complexities of IT and cybersecurity through education, communication and support. He is also passionate about promoting conversations around mental health, drawing on his own experiences with ADHD, anxiety and depression to advocate for greater understanding, connection and wellbeing within sporting communities.
A strong believer in the power of sport to bring people together and support mental wellbeing, Ged is delighted to serve as Master of Ceremonies for today's Men's Health Round event.
