Regional teams head to Melbourne for our biggest Junior Country Championships

The Junior Country Championships are set to take place on the 17th & 18th May, with an incredible 47 regional teams participating this year.    

All teams will play a series of round robin matches across the course of the weekend, before it all culminates on the Sunday afternoon with the classification and medal matches.   

The Event will be held across three dual pitch venues, with Greensborough, Essendon and State Hockey Centre. A huge thank you to the three host venues for their work in preparing for the Event.

Once the pool games are completed, the cross-over and finals matches for Sunday will be loaded onto Rev Sport and viewable through that link above.

Live Streaming – Under 16s ONLY 

Hockey Victoria has recently entered into an agreement with Sportway, which will see cameras installed at a number of venues in both metropolitan and regional Victoria.  

At this stage, Greensborough is the only venue of the three JCC venues to have the cameras installed. Therefore, the Under 16s at Greensborough it is the only age group that will be live streamed for the JCC.  

As three no cameras installed at Essendon or State Hockey Centre yet, the Under 14s and Under 18s will not live streamed.  

Parking at State Netball Hockey Centre 

It should be noted that there will be other sporting activities taking place at Melbourne Sports Centres Parkville over the weekend of the JCC. It is strongly recommended that you allow additional time for parking. If the car park is full, there is overflow parking available at the Zoo. It will be particularly busy on Sunday 18th May, with both a gymnastic event, as well as fencing taking place as well as the JCC.
