Huge applause for Mentone Hockey Club, our June HCM Hookin2Hockey Club of the Month!
Mentone has tirelessly worked to run a H2H program that operates all season long, ensuring no child ever misses out on trying hockey. This open-door policy creates an incredibly welcoming pathway for new players.
Their H2H participants consistently engage in lively U8s and U10s Venue-based competition at Moorabbin on Saturday mornings, building skills and friendships. Furthermore, Mentone, in collaboration with Frankston, has expanded access with a fantastic one-day round robin for those unable to play Saturdays.
The program's renowned safety and inclusivity have welcomed a fantastic 42 new players in 2025 and boast impressive retention with 38 players enthusiastically continuing their journey, including two progressing to U12s! They're truly empowering youngsters to confidently join in venue-based competition, and inspiring parents to enthusiastically encourage others to experience the Mentone difference.
