Nominations are open for three Hockey Victoria Appointed Director positions

Hockey Victoria (HV) welcomes nominations for three Board Appointed Director positions as we embark on our ongoing pursuit of a strong, sustainable sport over the next decade.
HV has recently launched its 2025-2028 Strategic Plan which is focussed on;
· Strengthening our Core – Provide support to empower our community and to create quality hockey experiences.
· Expand the Playing Field – Strengthen existing partnerships and pursue new business opportunities to drive commercial and participation growth.
· Reinvest in Hockey – Through new business, strategically reinvest in ‘strengthening the core’

Our aim is to increase participation, provide clear pathways, improve volunteer experiences and deliver high quality competitions, events and programs. In addition to this we have bold ambitions to expand our reach by proactively engaging with the fast-growing communities of Victoria and with business partners who share our passion and vision for hockey globally.
HV is seeking to appoint up to three experienced and suitably qualified directors who are interested in playing a lead role in steering the strategic direction of Hockey Victoria, contributing to its governance and supporting our CEO, Andrew Skillern and Executive Leadership Team.
Skills & Experience
The HV Board has reviewed the mix of skills and experience of the Board to ensure alignment to the Hockey Victoria strategy and industry governance requirements. This process has identified the opportunity to enhance the Board’s skills capability in the following areas:
· Government relations & advocacy to expand state, national and international influence to best represent the interests of hockey in Victoria and beyond
· Commercial legal experience to support Hockey Victoria’s ambition to build new partnerships and introduce new products to engage a global audience
· Commercial strategy to strengthen the critical evaluation and planning for sustainable commercial models for Hockey Victoria and its participation in the Hockey One League
· High performance sport strategy and advisory experience.

Eligibility & Process
Nominees will be required to submit a letter (no more than 1 page) outlining their interest in becoming an appointed director and CV.
