HC Melbourne unveil initial squads for 2025 Season
Published Thu 07 Aug 2025
HC Melbourne is ramping up its preparations for the upcoming Hockey One season, with the club today announcing its initial squads. The men's and women's squads, featuring 34 and 23 players respectively, will be refined and finalised in early September.
The men's team fresh off a premiership victory, is set to bolster its already formidable line-up with the addition of several key players. Newcomers include Kookaburras goalkeeper Jed Snowden and dynamic striker Ky Willott, as the team aims for back-to-back titles.
Meanwhile, the women's team is focused on improving on last year's fifth-place finish. A key priority is enhancing their attacking capabilities, after scoring just 10 goals in six matches last season. To address this, the club has signed Hockeyroos midfielder and dual H1 premiership winner Beck Griener, along with English international Rosie Hope.
