2024 Women & Girls Breakfast Wrap-Up

Published Wed 15 May 2024

Hockey Victoria's 12th annual Women & Girls Breakfast was a resounding success! Held at the St Kilda Town Hall, the event brought together guests for a unique and creative experience.

The morning kicked off with a vibrant painting session led by Kieren Trainor of Hills & Spills, Sip & Paint. Guests channelled their inner artist as they explored the theme "Who are you in sport?"

Following the artistic expression, AFLW player Sophie Locke, a BCNA Ambassador, shared her personal story and experiences. Her inspiring words resonated with the audience.

Guests from each table were also encouraged to come up on stage and add words/phrases to Kieren’s canvas to fill out the area collectively as a group. We loved to see everyone being so comfortable to share and paint their words of passion and inspiration on stage.

This all culminated in our final proceedings of the day where we were joined by the first female HV Chair of the Board, Tracey Drake, to discuss the work HV continues to do in this space. The breakfast concluded with a raffle raising funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), a key partner of the event.
