HOCKEY VICTORIA PARTICIPATION OFFICERS
We are seeking Participation Officers to work in schools throughout 2025 across several programs:
- Schools Roadshow (Term 1 and Term 2): Participation Officers will introduce students to hockey in a fun and safe environment and encourage students to join the local Hookin2Hockey program
- Sporting Schools: Officers will deliver a series of Hockey clinics to a class of primary school students, either during school hours or after school, for a minimum of 4 weeks
- Access All Abilities: Officers will deliver clinics in Specialist schools and may assist with Interschool competitions
- HockeyOne game day opportunities
Our POs are often the first contact young people have with hockey and are pivotal to the sport's growth around Victoria. We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people with excellent communication skills and a passion for engaging juniors. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience and network in the sports or education industry while being flexible around your schedule.
No prior hockey experience is required. The role includes complete training and opportunities for further education in the junior participation space year-round.

Men's Vic League 1 Coaching opportunity — PEGS Hockey Club
PEGS Hockey Club is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Men's VL1 Head Coach for the 2027 season.

The Opportunity
The role will involve leading the team through pre-season preparation, in-season training, match-day performance and player development, with the aim of building on the club’s strong foundations and continuing to develop a positive, competitive and an inclusive team environment.
Selection Criteria
· Demonstrated coaching experience at a senior, high-performance, representative or comparable club level.
· Ability to develop and implement a clear pre-season and in-season training program.
· Strong technical and tactical knowledge of hockey, including game planning, skill development and match-day management.
· Capacity to lead, motivate and communicate effectively with players, assistant coaches, team managers and club representatives.
· Commitment to player development, team culture, selection integrity and the broader objectives of PEGSHC.
· Availability to attend scheduled training sessions, match days and reasonable planning or review meetings throughout the season.
· Willingness to work constructively with the club, coaching panel and relevant section heads.
· Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one before commencing in the role.
· Any relevant coaching accreditation, playing experience or other qualifications that support the application.

WOMEN'S HEAD COACH
Melton Hockey Club | VIC League | 2027 and Beyond
Melton Hockey Club is seeking a passionate and experienced Women’s Head Coach to lead our young, successful and developing senior women’s program.
Our VL3 Women’s team has reached finals in each of the past two seasons and progressed to a Grand Final playoff this season. With a young, talented and committed group of players coming through, there is enormous potential for continued growth and success.
A key part of this role will be working with the broader women’s playing group, not just the First XI. We are looking for a coach who understands the importance of developing strong relationships across all senior women’s teams, supporting emerging players and creating clear pathways for juniors progressing into senior hockey.

Women’s Vic League 1 coaching opportunity — Monash University Hockey Club
Monash University Hockey Club is seeking a proactive, energetic and development-focused head coach for our women’s section (Vic League 1) for the 2027 season.
The head coach will lead our VL1 team through trainings and game-days whilst ensuring to foster a supportive, positive and competitive team. The head coach is expected to work with the coaching team across the club, and to assist in the development of the Reserves squad alongside contributing to the development of the whole playing contingent.

MEN'S HEAD COACH | LA TROBE UNIVERSITY HOCKEY CLUB
La Trobe University Hockey Club is seeking an ambitious and committed Men's Head Coach to lead our Vic League program and help shape the next stage of the club's development.
Based at KP Hardiman Reserve in Bundoora, La Trobe University Hockey Club has a proud 60-year history, more than 300 members and 23 teams across juniors, seniors, masters and open competitions. The club has a strong and stable playing base, excellent links with La Trobe University, and a committed committee and volunteer network.
Our Men's Vic League program has a solid core group, with the majority of the squad under 25, alongside experienced players, university students and emerging juniors. The Men's 1st achieved promotion last season and the club is now focused on building sustained success in VL2 and developing a pathway towards a return to Vic League 1.
The role provides an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about player development, high-performance culture and long-term program building. We are particularly interested in a coach who can develop our emerging talent, integrate junior players into senior hockey and create a positive, accountable and ambitious team environment.
