ABOUT THE CLUB
La Trobe University Hockey Club is located in Kingsbury, 12km north of the CBD. We have a proud 50+ year history with more than 300 members and 23 teams across juniors, seniors, masters and open. Our newly redeveloped field and lights were opened for the 2021 season, and new $3mil clubrooms are set to commence construction in mid 2024, which will ultimately provide the club with one of the best facilities in the State.

ABOUT THE ROLE

With the Men looking for sustainable long term success and to return to Vic League 1 (VL1), the club is seeking a coach to develop our list and take the squad to the next level. We have a mix of experienced players, students, locals, and junior players with a vast array of talent and experience.

We are also actively working with the university to recruit new players from on-campus colleges, inter-varsity and students relocating from regional areas to study in Bundoora.

The successful applicant should:

  • Create and clearly communicate a framework to continue to develop the Vic League squad
  • A strong communicator with both players and the club committee
  • Have a proven ability to develop and motivate players to success
  • Have the ability to develop and implement training schedules for both pre-season and regular season sessions
  • Develop game strategies which foster improvement in the playing group and long-term success at the higher level
  • Work with the club’s administration, selection panel and volunteers and help develop and execute a plan for success from top to bottom
  • Have a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification
  • Have a Working with Children certification

REMUNERATION

Tenure and remuneration are negotiable based on experience. The ideal candidate would be open to a multi-year agreement if both parties are satisfied at the end of the first season.

There are opportunities for additional salary by taking on further responsibilities such as coaching our Juniors Academy, Hookin2Hockey, Masterclasses, or Foundation Classes.

YARRA HOCKEY WOMEN’S SECTION – EOI COACHES 2024

We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced, passionate, and suitably qualified Coaches for the upcoming 2024 season.

Craigieburn Falcons Hockey Club (CFHC) was established in 2017 by a group of players and parents committed to broadening the diversity of sporting opportunities in the Hume Council and neighboring suburbs.

We are a family orientated club managed and run by a team of dedicated volunteers. We are the most decorated and fastest growing hockey club within the Hume Council – Northwest Melbourne region.

OUR STRENGTH:

We have a group of passionate and committed volunteers striving to spread our passion for hockey throughout the community, for the benefit of the community.

As our club matures, many of the juniors that once picked up a hockey stick when they were just children are now entering adulthood. Our specific focus as a club for coming years is around ensuring these talented individuals have a strong platform and opportunity to step into senior teams. Our club is therefore dedicated to obtain external coaching talent to help facilitate the club’s ongoing success.

When you join us, you are joining a group of passionate and committed volunteers striving to spread our passion for hockey for the greater benefit of the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Seeking Under 10’s coach - Craigieburn Falcons Hockey Club – Junior Cos

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Juniors coach to be our club's very first under 10’s coach.

You will be responsible for managing the clubs Under 10 and Under 8’s teams.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • proven ability to develop and motivate young players to success
  • Prior coaching experience with under 12’s or 14’s
  • ability to communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds and culturally aware.
  • Have the ability to develop and implement training schedules for both pre-season and regular season sessions
  • Develop game strategies which foster improvement and long-term success
  • Work with the club’s administration, selection panel and volunteers and help develop and execute a plan for success from top to bottom
  • Have a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification
  • Available on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for training from 5pm (in addition to game day)
  • Have a working with children’s check.
  • Passionate about assisting new starters.


REMUNERATION

Tenure and remuneration are negotiable based on experience and the values as a coach you can bring into our club.

The ideal candidate would be open to associate with our club for a long-term, if both parties are satisfied at the end of the first season.

Seeking Vic League 2 women’s coach - Craigieburn Falcons Hockey Club

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Women’s Vic League 2 coach.

You will be responsible for managing our club's single women’s team, who have recently entered Vic League 2.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • proven experience in coaching a women’s team to finals
  • ability to communicate effectively across diverse backgrounds
  • Passionate about assisting a new women’s team to success
  • Have the ability to develop and implement training schedules game strategies
  • Develop game strategies which foster improvement in the playing group and long-term success
  • Have a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification
  • Available on Sunday and Wednesday evenings for training from 6:45pm to 8:30pm (in addition to game day)
  • Working with children check

Tenure and remuneration are negotiable based on experience and the values as a coach you can bring into our club.
