Hockey Victoria U16 Academy

The HV U16 Academy will take place in early 2027. Exact dates are TBC pending confirmation of the U16 National Championships dates from Hockey Australia.

To be selected into the Academy, players must be assessed at the 2026 JSC. Players who are unable to participate in the JSC may be assessed through the HV Draft Camp later in the year.

Players identified through the JSC will be invited to attend an Academy Camp Day, with 70 players selected to attend. From this group, 50 players will be named in the Academy. Please refer to the HV HP Calendar for Academy Camp Day and Academy dates, these will be confirned ASAP once we have the national onal tournament date. 

Please note:

Top-age U16 players in 2026 are not eligible for the 2027 U16 Academy.

Age Eligibility

Athletes must be 16 years of age or younger as at 11:59pm on 31 December 2027. Therefore, athletes turning 17 during 2027 are ineligible for this event.
