Hockey Victoria are now accepting nominations from eligible Country Registered players for the 2026 Country State Teams to compete at the National Country Championships in Bendigo, VIC, August 5-15 2026. 

Senior Country Player Assessment Days    

Player Assessment ONE:

Sunday 24th May 

 - WOMEN: arrive at 8:15am.  Session to run from 8:30am until 10:15am

 - MEN: arrive at 10am.  Session to run from 10:15am until 12pm

STATE NETBALL HOCKEY CENTRE - 10 Brens Drive, Parkville, 3052

The HV Appointed selection panel reserves the right to eliminate players immediately following this session

Player Assessment TWO:

Sunday 31st May

 - MEN: arrive at 8:15am.  Session to run from 8:30am until 10:15am

 - WOMEN: arrive at 10am.  Session to run from 10:15am until 12pm

Final Player Assessment Information

1. All players are required to bring a white and a black T-Shirt to the Player Assessments (grey is neither white or black)
2. All players are required to arrive to the assessments 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time.
3. Players must be registered HV members and be playing in regional competition (as per HA particpation regulations).

4. There is an expectation for all players to attend both sessions. Exemptions may be given to players who miss one session but missing both sessions may see a player omitted from the selection process.

Nomination Fee

$50 nomination fee applies

Financial Commitment

Selected players will be invoiced approx - $2,000

The team costs include team Tournament Entry Fees, all training sessions, Staffing Costs, Team Equipment, Accommodation, Administration etc.

NOTE - if you have a debt owing to Hockey Victoria it is recommended that you settle this debt in FULL prior to team selection.  Players with current debts run the risk of being eliminated from the selection process.

Players with known conflicting commitments including other sports, work and/or holidays should put this in writing to State Teams Manager, James McCallum stateteams@hockeyvictoria.org.au prior to the Final Player Assessments commencing.
