2024 JSC Ready Umpire Development Program

In 2024 Hockey Victoria is launching a umpire development program to assist umpires develop and prepare for the Junior State Championships in the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 age groups. 

The content delivered in this program will be tailored to full field 11-a-side hockey, so won't be a appropriate for those umpire the Under 12 Hockey5s. There will be some resources provided to those umpires closer to the Event. 

The program will invovlve the following:

•  two online workshops, running for approximately 90 minutes each (Monday 27th May and Monday 3rd June from 6.30pm - 8.00pm)
• opportunity for coaching whilst umpiring JSC practice matches in June (9th or 16th June - details TBC)

It is a great opportunity to not only develop your umpiring in general , but assist you in being prepared the best you can be for the Junior State Championships. 

The cost to participate in the program is $70.00. Registrarions will close 11.59pm on Wednesday 22nd May. 

If you make yourself available to umpure the JSC practice matches in June you will be paid to cover these maches, whilst also receiving umpire coaching at the designated venues. The details of the JSC practice matches are still being finalised, but there will be some running on Monday 9th June and some running on Sunday 16th June. Venues and times will be confirmed over the coming weeks. Those that register in this program will be contacted directly with details and asked to provded their availability.

A minimum of fifteen registrations will be required for this program to proceed. If the program has to be cancelled, those that have registered will be issued with a refund.
