Hockey Victoria is delighted to be offering venue-based Competitions in Term 2, 3 & 4 of 2024 for U8 & U10 participants.
Venue-based competition make it simpler and more convenient for new and existing parents and junior participants to engage with the sport of hockey. It will enhance the transition between the Roadshow, Hookin2Hockey and Junior Competition offerings, whilst, also providing a lively and engaging environment for participants, parents and club administrators alike.
With a number of host-venues across metropolitan and outer-suburban Victoria, there is sure to be a competition running on a weekend near you! So make sure to contact your local club today to get involved, and view below for more details.

Hockey Victoria will be running a coach & officials ahead of Term 3 competition starting. This is a great opportunity for our new coaches and officials to get a breakdown of techniques and responsibilities.
This workshop will be held ONLINE via MICROSOFT TEAMS as follows:
Date: Wednesday 17 July
Time: Officials Workshop – 6:45pm – 7:30pm / Coach Workshop - 7:45pm – 8:30pm

The Term 3 Carnival days are an opportunity for teams to come together at select venues to play against teams they otherwise would not have had the chance to play against.
Date: Saturday 14 September
Time: Approx. 8:00am – 11:30am
Venues: TBC
Format: Each team will play 2 (two) matches over the course of the morning against teams from neighbouring venues. These matches will consist of 2x 9 minute halves, with a 3 minute half-time, and a 9-minute change over.
How do I enter a team?: To secure your entry, please RSVP your teams attendance, RSVPS will open SOON! There is no additional entry fee, but please note match day fees (umpires, venue officer & pitch hire) will still be payable.
*Only teams that have a current team entry in an U8 or U10 competition can RSVP for this gala day
*Each club will receive one (1) entry per team for a chance to win one Hockey Club Melbourne jersey signed by the 2023 HCM Men’s and Women’s players. The winner will be announced on the day.
