HC Melbourne welcomes four star signings ahead of 2025 season
Published Mon 04 Aug 2025

HC Melbourne has had a blockbuster week of signings in the lead up to the release of our 2025 squads. We’re excited to announce the addition of four international standouts: Hockeyroos midfielder Beck Greiner, Kookaburras goalkeeper Jed Snowden, Kookaburras striker Ky Willott, and English midfielder Rosie Hope.
Beck Greiner
Olympian and Hockeyroos standout Beck Greiner returns to Hockey One with HC Melbourne following an international season with Belgium’s Koninklijke Hockey Club Leuven.
Greiner burst onto the international scene, scoring in her senior debut at the Champions Trophy, where the Hockeyroos secured the gold medal. Her seasoned career includes a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, bronze at the 2022 World Cup, and selection in the 2024 Olympic squad. Greiner has also secured two Hockey One premierships with Brisbane Blaze.
Rosie Hope
Rosie Hope brings international experience to HC Melbourne’s women’s team. Having represented England at U18 and U21 levels, Hope made her senior debut in the 2024/25 FIH Pro League. With experience in the English Premier League and US College Hockey, she adds depth and composure to our backfield and midfield unit.
Ky Willott
Crossing over from our state rivals NSW Pride with two Hockey One premierships in tow, Willott brings serious firepower to our star-studded front line. Willott made his debut for the Kookaburras in 2022 and has since earned more than 70 caps, including representation at the Paris 2024 Olympics and multiple FIH Pro League campaigns.
Jed Snowden
After two standout Hockey One seasons with Adelaide Fire, Jed Snowden has continued to impress, earning selection in the 2025 Kookaburras squad and making his senior debut in season six of FIH Pro League earlier this year in Sydney.
Snowden brings calm leadership between the posts to HC Melbourne’s defensive set-up.
The HC Melbourne men’s team enters the 2025 season as reigning premiers, bolstered by strategic additions in both attack and goalkeeping. The women’s team, looking to improve on consecutive fifth-place finishes, gains valuable experience and creativity with the inclusion of Greiner and Hope.
HC Melbourne’s campaign kicks off on Sunday, 12 October with an away trip to Tasmania to take on the Tassie Tigers, followed by our first home game on Friday 17 October against Adelaide Fire.
HC Melbourne have 3 home games this year:
Round 2 – Friday 17 October: HC Melbourne vs Adelaide Fire
Round 5 – Friday 7 November: HC Melbourne vs Brisbane Blaze
Round 6 – Sat 15 November: HC Melbourne vs Canberra Chill
