About Hockey Victoria
Hockey Victoria (HV) Inc. is the peak governing body for the sport of hockey in Victoria. The association’s role is to service the 150 clubs and associations (85 Regional & 65 Metropolitan), and the 17,000 plus playing members. HV’s key service areas include club development, elite performance and athlete development, competitions & events management, game development, and membership services. The organisation strives to remain community relevant by constantly developing innovative programs and initiatives.
Hockey Victoria prides itself on being the family game; safe, welcoming and inclusive sport for all Victorian’s. This is achieved via its strong focus on the safe playing and spectator environments, and advocacy for Women’s sport, gender diversity and providing participation opportunities for people of CALD and Indigenous backgrounds, and people with a disability.

The Hockey Victoria Premier League competition is the top division of hockey competition in the state. It contains the top twelve Men’s and top twelve Women’s teams who go head-to-head in a 22-round home and away season, followed by a three-week finals series.
Sponsoring the Premier Leaugue is an opportunity to associate your brand with the HV's top domestic competition, whilst also having a connection to the grassroots through some of the biggest clubs in the state. You would be supporting men's and women's sport equally and have the opportunity to be a presnting partner for the annual Women & Girls Breakfast and Round, as well as the Men's Health Round and Lunch.

Hockey Victoria mange the Hockey Club Melbourne Men's & Women's teams that participate in the Hockey One League. The teams are full of current and former Australian Hockey players, along with some of the countries brightest up and coming stars.
Unlike any other major competition in Australia, the Men's & Women's teams play consecutively for all fixtures. They are broadcast live and free on 7Plus, as well as on a number of platforms internationally.

This is the pinnacle Junior Event in Victoria, with teams competing across the Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 Boys & Girls divisions. The event has been running for wellover ten years in its current format and is a highlight in the Victorian Hockey calendar each year.
The Event sees over 1200 junior hockey players come together from all corners of the state to battle it out for the title of State Champions.

The Junior and Senior Country Championships are Hockey Victoria’s annual tournaments for our Regional Associations. Eighty teams compete across the two events, with approximately 1650 regional participants involved each year.
There is unique oppotunity to associate your brand with regional hockey in Victoria, supporting the development of regional youth continue to make community sport accessible for all.

Hockey Victoria have 46 State Teams competing in National Championships annually. From Under 14 through to Master’s there are in excess of 730 players and over 200 staff involved, with an even split of Men and Women.
Most of the teams complete an eight-to-ten-week preparation phase before travelling to compete in their relevant National Championship.
The HV pathway programs lead the way nationally. Players are selected to be involved in an extensive training block in advance of State Team selection.
There are two tiers set up, with the top-tier Academy program having a total of 150 boys and 150 girls involved across Under 14s, Under 16s and Under 18s.
Such is the demand to be involved, that a second tier program was set up, called the Emerging Talent Academy. This has 100 Under 14s and 65 players in each of the Under 16s and Under 18s, with an even split of boys and girls.
