HV Statement on 5 Day Lockdown, Friday 12 February 2021

The purpose of this communication is to provide immediate guidance and advice to the Victorian Hockey community following the Premier’s announcement that the whole of Victoria will go into a 5-day lockdown from 11:59pm tonight (Friday, 12 February) to 11:59pm on Wednesday, 17 February.

Based on the State Government’s directions for the 5-day lockdown, all Hockey indoor and outdoor activities must be suspended until further notice.

Effective immediately, Hockey Victoria will suspend all Hockey activities, including:

• High Performance Programs:
  • Under 15 State Final Player Assessments
  • Under 18 State Training
  • HCM Emerging vs VIS Practice Match 
• School Roadshows (Game Development team have been in contact with the affected clubs to discuss alternative plans)
• Summer Competition:
  • Seniors A Grade- Sunday – Mens @ Melbourne Sports Centres, Parkville
  • Seniors B Grade - Sunday - Mens @ Albert Park
  • Seniors B Grade- Sunday – Womens @ Footscray Hockey Club
  • Seniors C Grade- Sunday – Womens @ Essendon Hockey Centre
  • Seniors D Grade- Sunday - Mens @ Essendon Hockey Centre
  • 45 Monday Men's @ Hawthorn Malvern Hockey Centre
  • Open - Monday Men's @Monash University
  • 60+ - Wednesday - Men's @ Elgar Park/ Koonung
  • Open B - Wednesday - Women's @ Hawthorn Malvern Hockey Centre
  • 40B – Wednesday – Women’s @ Monash University
• U13 Indoor Club Championships @ Monash University, Clayton

All Hockey Victoria staff will revert to working from home.

All Hockey Victoria affiliates must suspend all their Hockey activities until further notice.
