2021 Junior State Championships – Player & Coach Nominations Now Open

Hockey Victoria are delighted to announce that the 2021 Junior State Championships player and coach nominations are now open.

In 2020, the Junior State Championships was scheduled to be held in Bendigo and Shepparton but unfortunately the Event had to be cancelled. We are thrilled that both the City of Greater Bendigo and Greater Shepparton City Council have agreed to host the Event in 2021 and cannot wait to take the Event to regional Victoria. We must also thank Hockey Central Vic and Goulburn Valley Hockey Association for making it possible to hold the Events in Bendigo and Shepparton, respectively.

The 2021 Junior State Championships will take place as follows:

Dates: Thursday 1^st July – Sunday 4^th July, 2021

Locations: Bendigo (all Girls age groups) and Shepparton (all Boys age groups)

Coach Nominations

Coach Nominations are now being accepted for all Metropolitan and Regional Zone teams.

The coach nominations are scheduled to close at 9.00am on Friday 9^th April and HV and the respective Zone Coordinators will be looking to make appointments within a week of that date.

Player Nominations

The player nominations for all of the Metropolitan and Regional Zone teams are also now open.

Officiating at the JSC

Later this week we will be releasing information relating to officiating at all of the 2021 Outdoor Events (JSC, JCC & SCC). So, please keep an eye on the HV website and socials for more information.

Important note regarding Under 15 & Under 18 State Team Players

Given the proximity of the JSC trials to the 2021 Under 15 and Under 18 National Championships, all players that are selected to represent Victoria at these Events will be granted automatic selection into their Zone team, should they wish to participate in the JSC.

Considering that they will have undergone a gruelling National Championships only a matter of days before the Zone trials, from a wellbeing and workload perspective it is not reasonable for those players to be expected to attend their Zone trial.

These players MUST still nominate for their Zone team through the appropriate link otherwise they will not be selected.
