Victorian teams still in the hunt for glory in Gosford after day three
As we approach the business end of what has been an enthralling
tournament, both the under 14 & 16 girls teams along with the under 14 boys teams, still remain very much in the hunt for a finals berth.
In what promises to be an absorbing climax, the 16 girls today proved too strong for arch rivals South Australia running out comfortable victors five goals to one. The under 14 girls also had a convincing six goal win, with Olivia Colasurdo posting a handy hatrick.
In the boys, the under 16 Bushrangers team were unlucky to go down five goals to four, after pushing their more fancied opponents in Queensland to the very end, whilst the under 16 Victorian team easily accounted for the ACT seven goals to one and followed it up with an eleven goal to five drubbing of South Australia. Ashley Bannan again figured heavily amongst the goal scorers, as did Harry Page Kieran Arunasalam and Andrew Elliott.
