Day two brings mixed fortunes for our gallant young charges at the Gosford Indoor Invitational.
After a flying start on day one of the Under 14 & 16 indoor invitational, the young Victorian teams had mixed results on day two. One of the highlights of the day was our U16 Bushrangers Boys team proving to strong for the ACT winning by seven goals to two. Young Jimmy Knee doing the damage with an impressive three, whilst the Under 16 girls were unlucky to go down to Queensland by a goal in a high scoring battle, in which the Vics were unlucky not to win after failing to convert two penalty strokes late in proceedings. Young forward Felicity Elliott once again proved elusive, by scoring a hatrick for the young Vics.
In the other highly anticipated game of the day the under 16 Victorian Boys team went down by seven goals to three, to the highly fancied NSW outfit from over the border, in a very high standard affair. Ashley Bannan again troubled the scorers with two, whilst Kiran Arunasalam chipped in with the other.
